🐾 Cat grooming fur, claws hygiene
Learn how to properly care for your cat – tips on brushing, bathing, trimming claws, and maintaining hygiene.
Proper care contributes to your cat’s health and a long life.
Coat care
Long-haired cats should be brushed daily, while short-haired cats should be brushed 2–3 times a week. Regular brushing:
prevents tangles from forming
reduces shedding
helps prevent hairballs
Bathing – is it necessary?
Cats clean themselves, so bathing is usually not necessary except in special situations. Use only shampoos made specifically for cats.
Claw trimming
Claws should be trimmed every 3–4 weeks. If you are unsure how to do it, a veterinarian can show you the proper technique.
Ear and dental hygiene
Ears should be checked occasionally and cleaned with a mild solution recommended by a veterinarian. Teeth can be cleaned using special toothpaste made for cats. 🐱
